About

Rachel Anderton

I am a certified birth and post natal doula as well as holding a certificate in the Thompson Method for breast feeding support. I look forward to being a part of your journey into parenting and helping you transition into family life with a new baby, whether it’s your first, second or third. With my warm and friendly manner I will help you navigate any decisions.

I hold a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and worked for 25 years in preschool education, supporting families and nurturing little ones to thrive.

My Philosophy

I believe that the postpartum period is a sacred time of transformation, healing and growth for parents and their newborn. My role as a postnatal doula is to nurture and empower families, offering them the emotional, physical and practical support needed to thrive during this tender season of life.

I approach my work with compassion, respect and adaptability, recognising that every family is unique. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where parents feel seen, heard and valued in their choices. My goal is to help parents build confidence in their abilities, fostering a sense of balance and peace as they transition into this new chapter.

I honor the mother’s recovery and well-being, providing care that respects her physical needs and emotional journey. I also cherish the bond between parent and baby, offering guidance that supports attachment and builds trust within the family unit.

Through my work I aim to make quality postnatal care accessible, offering packages that are both affordable and flexible. I believe that every family deserves care, no matter their backgrounds or circumstances.

Ultimately, I view my role not just as a caregiver, but also as a quiet presence walking alongside families, ensuring they feel supported, confident and cherished. My philosophy is based on love, kindness and a deep respect for the beauty of new beginnings.
